What Caregiving Gave Me That I Didn’t Expect

Caregiving took more from me than I expected—time, sleep, energy.

But it also gave me something unexpected.

Perspective.

I learned what truly matters. I learned how fragile time is. I learned that love often looks like showing up on ordinary days, not just big moments.

I don’t know how long this chapter will last. I don’t know what comes next.

But I do know this:
Being here, doing this, has changed me forever.

And somehow, even on the hardest days, I’m grateful.
